i was wondering if they were legal to have as pets in the state of georgia. i know the scent gland has to be taken out so they can be housebroken but im not sure if they are legal or not.

in georgia skunks are noth illegal and legal
Black/white ILLEGAL, all other colors LEGAL

There are many states where it is legal to keep a skunk as a pet. I would call your local county animal control office and ask them - even if they don't know, they will point you in the right direction.
They may be legal , and the pet store would tell you to take it to your local vet for it's shots..Well I purchased one but the vet would NOT give it it's shots and i was advised to get rid of it since they are rabies carriers...
