Answers:
A decent cage will cost at least $50 I would say, for it to have enough room to move around. Then there's the accesories like a water bottle ($4-5) food dish ($2-4) food ($5-10 dollars) bedding ($15 for a large pack), they'll also need a nice cozy igloo or something to cozy up in since they're bald and need to use more energy to keep warm, as far as the cost of a Skinny pig I'm not too sure, they don't ever really sell them around here(surprising since the guy that started the mutation for them was from here in Rochester, NY) but the few I have seen were around $50-120. It might be cheaper if you have more of them in your area. I also know they usually go through food and water faster than a regular guinea pig since they use a little more energy to maintain body temp and that some (because of the mutation that causes the baldness being produced initially from being inbred) have lower immune system and are prone to respiratory infections, but alot of people have been working to breed healthier pigs.
well im not one hundred percet sure but i bet its almost like a dog or any kind of animal. i have a dog and i could get really expencife, like a little higher then 300 the fist month but after you get going it should be a little more then 100 .. sorry if i did not answer your question but im sure you can find it out on google or in books!
Are you talking about a Guinea Pig? If so.it really all depends on where you live. I have seen G.P. sell for as little as $3 to $45. To get a decent cage, bedding, feed bowls, water bottle etc...you are looking at around $50 or so [without the G.P]. That's just a ball park estimate.could be more, could be less.
The cost of a Skinny Pig can run between $50.00 and $150.00 depending where you can purchase them.
As for the up keep, I would recommend that you start by speaking to a vet. Ask the vet about just what is required for your skinny pig..rabies shots, distemper shots etc., neutering/spaying/ and then go to a reputable pet store and look into what it will cost for his supplies-water bottle, feed bowl, cage, toys, bedding materials, etc.
A pet owner has to always take into account the health of their pet so you will have to figure vet bills when your pet is healthy and not healthy.
You would want to know what a skinny pig is prone to in terms of diseases and body ailments.
I hope I have helped some...GOOD LUCK...
you mean a Guiena Pig?
