Are lilies poisinous to cats and which bits?

Answers:
its the pollen within the flower that is poisonous, cats seem to be more affected at first than dogs but we had a case in the vets where i worked a year ago the cat had rubbed against the Lillie getting pollen on her coat she licked her coat and within minuets she had been paralysed and then died,if you have animals its best not to have Lillie's unless they are out of reach
Typical Toxicity: Toxic effects are limited to cats, and include kidney damage or failure, dullness, loss of appetite, and vomiting. Note that only a small amount of any part of the plant can lead to very serious effects!
Yes, they can cause kidney failure. This can be any part of the plant as far as I know - certainly the petals anyway. They don't have to eat much.
