Are guinea pigs supposed to be fat?Is it bad for their health to be fat?Should they excercise and how?

Yeah, guinea pigs are generally at least a little chubby. My sister has a guinea pig that is REALLY fat, but she is doing great! You don't want a skinny guinea pig.
From my experience, it doesn't hurt for a g-pig to be fat. As long as he/she isn't having problems getting up or anything. The max for g-pigs is 3lbs.
If you want your guinea pig to be active, take it out a lot and let it run around. (We usually keep ours off of the carpet because they pee so much.) Also, you can put yours outside in an enclosed pen. We put ours outside all day on nice days. Keep a cold water bottle, houses, and shade handy and you will have a great set-up! We let ours run free on our lawn because we trained them not to runaway,but I sugjest you don't do that.Just putting them out on a nice,dry 70 degrees(or somthing like that) day with a fence around them. One guinea pig should have at least a 3foot long and 2foot wide enclosure.

umm well they are bigeaters and they do excersize wen they want to if you dnt av a big enuf hutch they they will get fat .

Enroll them in a guinea pig gym, get them a personal guinea pig trainer and some guinea pig exercise equipment then you'll have it made.

I had 2 guinea pigs, but they were never fat. If a guinea pig is fat, they are at risk for developing diabetes. I used to have an exercise ball for my guinea pig, it's like the ones for a hamster, but they are bigger. Just watch the guinea pig, so it doesn't roll down any stairs. Cut down on food, but make sure they get plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables, and they LOVE grass. Hope this helps!

They're supposed to be chubby, hence the guinea PIG, however too fat isn't healthy. Exercise them at least a half hour every day, and don't give them too many treats. Just let them run around, or put them in one of those balls. They're are many toys they can use. Just check out petsmart or petco. Good Luck :)

Well... they are naturally a little chubby, but you should have a big cage with a wheel, and you should buy a play thing or something, BUT HOW DO YOU GET A GUINEA PIG FAT ANYWAY?!?!
